The most graceful of all art
forms is Figurative drawing perhaps. To best capture its beauty, it involves
the drawing of the human form, using different postures and shapes. It has
persisted through the ages, and is one of the oldest ways of capturing people
as they are.
You’re going to need some
supplies if you plan on taking a Figure Drawing and Painting class. To complete your projects, you will need the
right tools just like any class at any school. Among students and teachers, and
just might be required some of these tools are quite common While art classes
do vary.
Tools to Draw With
To draw with, you will probably
need some tools. These are often found in pencil form and can take the form of
different materials, such as charcoals. Made of the same materials as pencils,
Graphite sticks can also be used. Dry pastels could be what you are looking for
if you are looking for something with a little color.
Paints and Brushes
Being great for filling in your
drawings, you may also need some watercolor paints and a watercolor brush. With
a fine point, Watercolor brushes are normally but they also can spread, which
helps add width. In different forms, such as in a solid cake on a palette, Watercolor
paints can come that you can dip your brush in and wet, or by a tube. Making live Models can also be learnt.
Paper
Before you go to your first
figurative drawings class, there are actually many different types of paper
that you need to think about while it seems like a no brainer that paper should
be available in any normal classroom.
Depending on the size required, paper
will vary but normally you will find the paper in drawing notebooks or bound
sketch. You will find in some instances are also less expensive and Sketch
paper is usually thinner than drawing paper. You can also join the Summer ART CAMP.
Conclusion
Remember,
it's an art class, so take it seriously and be prepared, but have fun most
importantly! Enjoy it. Most people find it highly rewarding as Figurative
drawing can be difficult to master.
